Restoring the Appearance of Your Smile

Restorative dental care includes dental procedures designed to restore damaged teeth, enhance oral function, and promote oral and overall health.

Our dental team performs services including root canals and fillings to help repair structural problems such as damaged or missing teeth while reducing pain as much as possible.

The sooner you receive treatment, the less likely it is that you will experience complications later on. This can help save you a significant amount of time, money, and anxiety in the future.

Restorative dental care can also go hand in hand with a number of cosmetic services as well. This is because certain restorative services such as crowns or bridges may also help alter the physical appearance of your smile.

Dental Crowns

Crowns are dental caps that are placed on top of teeth to restore their shape and function. Crowns can be used to attach bridges, cover dental implants or prevent a cracked tooth from worsening. They can also aid in restoring a discoloured tooth to its original appearance and can help prolong the life of a natural tooth.

Dental Bridges

Bridges are custom-made permanent prosthetics that can help replace a missing tooth or missing teeth. They resemble natural teeth and are attached to healthy teeth or dental implants. Bridges are barely noticeable and can restore the natural contour of teeth and the bite between the upper and lower teeth.

Dental Fillings

A filling is used to repair minor holes or gaps in the enamel of a broken or damaged teeth. At Aura Clinique Dentaire Elite, we use composite (tooth-coloured) fillings to repair a cavity. These fillings are able to sustain the stress of chewing and can be used on either the front or back teeth.

Inlays & Onlays

Inlays and onlays are tooth-coloured porcelain fillings used to repair cavities when the damage is too extensive for a standard filling. An inlay is used to protect the centre of a tooth. An onlay is used to cover the higher points around the edges of your tooth.

TMJ Disorder Treatment

The temporomandibular joint (or TMJ) is a hinge that connects your jaw to the temporal bones of your skull. The disorder of this joint can cause a host of issues with your jaw and the muscles in your face. Treatment may include wearing a mouth guard for sleep to prevent clenching and grinding.

Root Canals

A root canal is a procedure where your dentist removes diseased blood vessels, nerves, and tissues from the interior of a tooth. By removing the decay and bacteria, your dentist can help halt the spread of infection and prevent the need for an extraction. This can help protect the overall health of your tooth.

Full Dentures

Your dentist will use full dentures, commonly referred to as complete dentures, if you are missing a whole jaw of teeth. They can be fitted for your upper or lower gums, and are held in place by suction and/or with the help of an oral adhesive.

Partial Dentures

Your dentist will use partial dentures if you are missing more than a few teeth or if your surrounding teeth are not strong enough to support a dental bridge. They can be removed for cleaning and sleeping.
